Hier moechte ich euch ein bisschen ueber meine Mama und meinen Daddy erzaehlen. Ladies first!
Meine Mama:
Meine Mama heisst Sabrina und wurde am 15.05.1981 in Hanau geboren. Sie ist halb Italienierin und halb Deutsche. Sie ist mit ihrer Mama Antonietta und ihrer Schwester Melanie aufgewachsen und hat auch heute ein super Verhaeltnis zu den beiden. Die 3 sind wie Freundinnen. Sie hat ihr ganzes Leben lang Rollkunstlauf betrieben und hat erst damit aufgehoert als sie mit 18 am Fuss operiert wurde. Sie hat das aktiv als Leistungssport gemacht und soviel ich weiss hatte sie sehr, sehr viel Spass daran. Als sie 18 war hat sie meinen Daddy kennengelernt (dazu gleich mehr), ist aber 2 Monate nach deren kennenlernen fuer ein Jahr als Aupair nach Amerika. Das hat ihr sehr gut gefallen und sie hatte eine super Gastfamilie. Und dann mit 21 hat sie mich bekommen, ich bin ihr Goldstueck und sie ist sooooo froh das sie mich hat. Da geb ich ihr recht. Und jetzt waechst ein kleines Baby in ihrem Bauch und das soll naechstes Jahr im Mai geboren werden. Es wird ein Maedchen... ich bekomme also eine kleine Schwester.
Mein Daddy:
Mein Daddy heisst Derek Louis Dickerson (daher habe ich auch meinen 2. Namen) und wurde am 13.12.1979 in Coldwater, Michigan geboren. Wie ihr euch jetzt schon denken koennt, ist mein Dad Amerikaner. Er hat 1998 seinen Highschool Abschluss gemacht und ist danach der US Army beigetreten. Und nachdem er seine Grundausbildung gemacht hatte, kam er im Maerz 1999 hierher... nach Buedingen, Deutschland! Hier ist er auch jetzt noch stationiert. Und hier hat er dann im Oktober 1999 meine Mama kennengelernt. Dazu gleich mehr, hab ich doch schonmal gesagt! Er ist sehr erfolgreich in seiner Militaerskarriere, und noch dazu ein super Daddy. Ich wickel ihn ganz leicht um den Finger! Leider musste er fuer eine lange Zeit weg, da war er im Irak. Das war nicht besonders schoen, fuer uns alle nicht. Aber auch die Zeit ging rum und ich habe mich so gefreut als er endlich wiederkam! Da war ich maechtig stolz auf ihn!
Das sind meine Mama und mein Daddy ! / That's my Mommy and my Daddy !
Also wie schon gesagt, die beiden haben sich im Oktober 1999 kennengelernt. Am Anfang konnte Mama den Daddy aber nicht so leiden. Sie fand ihn arrogant. Aber was nicht ist kann ja noch werden. Abends haben sie sich mal in einem Club getroffen und Daddy war ganz charmant und Mama hat sich so langsam angefangen in ihn zu verlieben. Wusst ich's doch! Es folgte ein kleines Hin und her und am 24.November 1999 haben die beiden sich dann endlich zum ersten Mal gekuesst und waren von da an zusammen.
Nur 2 Monate spaeter aber, ist Mama fuer ein Jahr nach Connecticut, Amerika gegangen um ein Austauschjahr als Aupair zu machen und es war eine super Erfahrung fuer sie. Am Anfang war es sehr schwer fuer die beiden, aber sie haben es ueberstanden und Ende Januar 2001 kam Mama wieder zurueck. Die Liebe war noch da und viel staerker als vorher, denn nur 2 Wochen spaeter, am Valentinstag, hat Daddy der Mama einen Heiratsantrag gemacht. Ganz suess mit Rosen, Ring und Kniefall! Natuerlich hat sie JA gesagt und im Juni haben sie dann geheiratet (siehe "Unsere Hochzeit"). Tja... und im Oktober hat Mama dann gemerkt das irgendwas anders ist als vorher und als sie einen Schwangerschaftstest gemacht hat: Na ratet mal wer sich da angemeldet hat..... genau ICH naemlich! Da waren die beiden so gluecklich! Und das sind sie heute noch! So viele Huerden wie sie bis jetzt schon gemeistert haben, da bin ich mir sicher das die beiden nichts so schnell trennen wird! Ich habe meine Mama und Daddy ganz doll lieb! Und Babylein auch!
Now I want to tell you a little bit about my Mom and my Dad. Ladies first!
My Mommy:
My Mom's name is Sabrina and she was born on May 15th 1981 in Hanau, Germany (the same hospital where I was born). She is half italian and half german. She grew up with her mom Antonietta and her sister Melanie and they get along great. They're like friends! She used to figure skate (on roller skates) her whole life. She did that as a competetive sport, but she had to quit when she was 18 because of surgery on her foot. When she was 18 she met my Daddy (I'll tell you more about that later), but only 2 months after they met she went to the States for a year as an Aupair (nanny). She really liked it there and she had the best hostfamily ever. And when she was 21 she had me. I'm her little sweetheart and she's soooo happy that she has me. I can understand that! And now there's a little Baby growing inside of her belly and it will be born next year in May. It's a girl... so I'll have a little sister soon!
My Daddy:
My Dad's name is Derek Louis Dickerson (that's where I get my middle name from) and he was born on Dec 13th 1979 in Coldwater, Michigan. In 1998 he graduated from highschool and joined the US Army. After he completed his basic training and AIT he got stationed here... in Buedingen, Germany. And that's where he's still stationed! In October 1999 he met my Mommy (I already said that I will tell you more about that soon). He is very succesful in his Military career and also a great Dad! I can get him to do whatever I want, almost! Unfortunately there was a time when he had to go away for a long time, that was when he was sent to Iraq. But that time went by and I was soooo happy when he came back. I was very proud of him!
Okay, as I was saying, they met in October 1999. At first my mom didn't really like my Dad though. She thought he was kind of arrogant. But that changed soon. One night they met at a club and Daddy was a real gentleman and Mommy started falling for him. After some more trouble here and there, they finally kissed for the first time on November 24th 1999.
But only two months later, Mommy left for Connecticut to spend a year there as an Aupair, which was a great experience for her. For their relationship it was kinda hard in the beginning, but they made it and after a year Mommy returned the end of January 2001. Their love for each other was still there and even stronger now then before, because only 2 weeks later, on Valentines Day, Daddy proposed to Mommy. All romantic with roses, a ring and of course he went down on his knee! And of course she said YES and in June they got married ("Our wedding"). Well and in October Mommy noticed something was different and after she took a pregnancy test, guess who was on his way.... that's right: ME !!! They were so happy. And they still are. They've made it through so much already, I'm pretty sure there's nothing that can come between them! I love my Dad and my Mom very much! And the Baby too!
